Coordinator Community Development I

Work Schedule Full-time day shift (Mon–Fri 8:00 am–4:30 pm); some nights and weekends. Summary The Community Development Coordinator will initiate, develop, and execute philanthropic partnerships, cause marketing campaigns, and special events, including Children’s Miracle Network programs, to raise visibility, interest, and funds for Children’s of Alabama. The role manages multiple partnerships, tracks revenue success, plans events and campaigns with stakeholders, and fosters collaborations between non‑profit partners, corporate entities, patient families, and the community. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement a progressive strategy for corporate partners in cause marketing or special event partnerships. Influence and communicate effectively with all levels of an organization. Control projects from inception to completion and oversee details of multiple projects with high accuracy and attention to detail. Manage and steward relationships with individuals responsible for successful fundraising efforts. Collaborate with non‑profit partners, corporate entities, patient families, and the community to advance the hospital’s mission. Qualifications Bachelor of Science or Arts in Marketing or a related field (required). 2–4 years of relevant experience in fundraising, special event management, business development, sales and marketing, annual fund leadership, membership or alumni management (preferred). Proven ability to manage and execute corporate partnerships and special events in a non‑profit setting. Strong understanding of the business value of philanthropy and ability to deliver value to corporate and event partners. Demonstrated success in corporate/business development and development solicitation. Excellent project management skills with high accuracy and attention to detail. Strong interpersonal, presentation, and organizational skills. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, internet research, and experience with database programs such as Raiser's Edge, desktop publishing, or web design (preferred).
