Sonographer I

The Sonographer assists physicians in performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures by preparing patients and operating ultrasound equipment to obtain accurate scans. Qualifications Include Educational background with a 2-year/Associate Degree, preferably from an ARRT-approved Radiography or Sonography Program, or a CAAHEP-recognized Sonography Program. A minimum of one year of sonography experience. Licensure/Certification required, including ARRT or ARDMS registration in Sonography or a specific specialty (RT(S) or ARDMS) within six months of hire, depending on the facility.
