Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Physical Therapist Discipline: Therapy Start Date: 09/14/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 10 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Job Summary Physical Therapist Inpatient (PT IP) This inpatient position is based at a healthcare facility providing direct patient care. The role involves performing comprehensive diagnostic evaluations, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, and participating in discharge planning, within a standard daytime schedule. Job Details Certifications, Education, and Experience: Current New Mexico Physical Therapist licensure, BLS certification from the American Heart Association, Bachelors, Masters, or entry-level Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from an accredited college or university in the area of Physical Therapy. Experience requirement: 0 years. Schedule: Days, 8-hour shifts, minimum 40 hours per week. Develops and implements treatment plans considering diagnosis, age, and patient participation with measurable goals. Prepares documentation including initial evaluations, progress notes, discharge summaries, and other clinical notes. Participates in patient, family, and multidisciplinary team conferences, and provides education related to patient care and discharge planning. Supervises and coordinates physical therapy student programs, assists with departmental initiatives, and supports clinical department operations. Performs comprehensive patient assessments and adapts interventions to meet age-specific, developmental, and individual needs. Ensures adherence to departmental policies and participates in performance improvement activities. Fosters professional relationships within the healthcare team and with community resources. Performs other related duties as directed.
