We value craftsmanship, safety, and continuous improvement—and we invest in people who do, too.Impact You'll MakeAssemble Switchgear units precisely to blueprints, diagrams, and standardized work instructions.Troubleshoot and correct assembly discrepancies to restore conformance.Model safe behaviors and participate in required safety meetings.Protect quality by adhering to standard work and proactively identifying risks to product integrity.Maintain an organized, clean, and efficient workstation.Support other tasks as assigned to meet production commitments.What Sets You Up for SuccessReceptive to coaching and performance feedback.Dependable with on-time delivery and strong focus on priorities.Self-directed, able to handle multiple tasks with urgency and follow-through.Continuous improver who questions the status quo.Adaptable to new tools, technologies, processes, and product updates.Customer-first mindset in daily decisions and actions.High ethical standards and sound decision-making.Detail-oriented, accurate, and reliable in completing work.Team collaborator who partners well across departments.Committed to learning and following manufacturing policies and ISO requirements.Basic English communication skills—written and verbal.QualificationsHigh School Diploma (required).0–3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.Hands-on Switchgear experience is an advantage.Proficient with tape measures; able to convert fractions/decimals and metric/imperial units.Working knowledge of machine and tool use, design, upkeep, and basic repair.Basic familiarity with MES (Manufacturing Execution System).Relevant safety certifications are a plus.Work SettingSafety-sensitive role in a temperature-controlled industrial/manufacturing environment with some outdoor tasks.PPE required: safety shoes, hard hats/bump caps, safety glasses, hearing protection, safety harnesses as needed; respirators when required.Work from step ladders and "A" frame ladders as needed.Perform tasks at heights up to 20 ft using approved lifts and fall protection.Physical RequirementsBalance and agility while walking, standing, crouching, and climbing stairs/ladders.Frequent bending, reaching, and full extension of arms—including overhead.Stand and walk for extended periods.Lift up to 50 pounds.Frequent operation of hand and power tools.Not eligible for relocation or sponsorship.Our CultureFor over 70 years, Powell has believed that great people build great products.
