Patient Accounts Specialist – Galesburg Business Office • Full‑Time • 1st Shift • 8:00am‑4:30pm, M‑F • 80‑FT Responsibilities Coordinate, problem‑solve, and respond to patient billing concerns, facilitating open dialogue with patients, family members, and other authorized individuals. Enroll patients in exchange plans and ensure timely receipt of financial assistance, charity care, or other external assistance. Monitor and maintain the Electronic Health Record, ensuring documents are correctly filed within the patient account and disseminated to the correct provider for completion. Report directly to the Senior Director of Revenue Cycle. Qualifications High School Diploma preferred. Previous experience in medical billing practices, insurance, health information, and customer service is required. Math skills to calculate payments. Computer skills – Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Exceptional active‑listening and problem‑solving skills.
