Project Manager – Data Center Construction

Position: Project Manager – Progression to Senior Project Manager

I'm currently working with a leading national General Contractor and established data center builderwho are looking to add a Project Manager to their growing Atlanta team.

This is an opportunity for a Project Manager who is ready to take the next step into a Senior Project Manager position, with a clear progression path and the opportunity to step up within your first year.

You'll take ownership of key scopes on a large-scale, long-term data center project in Atlanta, working closely with the wider project team to drive delivery from construction through completion.

The Role

You'll have significant ownership across the project, with responsibility for:

• Managing the Mechanical & Electrical (MEP) scopes, alongside interior and finish trades
• Coordinating subcontractors, consultants, vendors and internal project teams
• Managing project schedules, milestones and day-to-day delivery
• Monitoring budgets, costs, change orders and overall project performance
• Working closely with the Superintendent and wider field team to ensure work is progressing safely and efficiently
• Reviewing drawings, specifications and RFIs and helping resolve technical issues
• Managing project risks and identifying potential issues before they impact schedule or cost
• Driving quality across your assigned scopes and ensuring work is delivered to specification
• Building strong relationships with the client, design team, subcontractors and other project stakeholders
• Supporting commissioning, closeout and successful project handover

This is a hands-on PM role with genuine autonomy, rather than simply coordinating from the sidelines. You'll have ownership of your scopes and the opportunity to make decisions, lead teams and build the experience required to move into a Senior PM position.

What They're Looking For

The ideal candidate will have:

• 5–8 years of construction project management experience
• Experience working for a General Contractor
• Experience on data center, mission critical, industrial, healthcare or other complex projects
• Strong understanding of MEP construction, particularly Mechanical and Electrical
• Experience managing subcontractors and multiple project stakeholders
• Strong understanding of project schedules, budgets, change management and project controls
• The confidence to take ownership of projects and make decisions independently
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• A genuine desire to progress into a Senior Project Manager position
