Private Wealth Portfolio Strategist

Overview We are fixed income experts supporting Raymond James financial advisors on our private wealth team. Candidates will provide customized solutions using individual bonds (primarily municipal, also taxable) and will analyze municipal and corporate credit risk to deliver value to high‑net‑worth clients. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Collaborate with financial advisors to develop fixed income strategies for high‑net‑worth and ultra‑high‑net‑worth clients and prospects. Construct custom built portfolios of individual bonds across municipal, corporate, and Treasury products. Serve as a fixed‑income market expert, providing timely market commentary and analysis to advisors. Educate financial advisors on fixed‑income benefits and build long‑term relationships to grow the client base. Write a monthly Municipal Bond Investor Weekly commentary for high‑net‑worth investors and distribute it to advisors and through the firm’s website and social media. Support the recruitment process by meeting with prospective financial‑advisor recruits on the trading floor. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Advanced knowledge of rate markets, spread products, and fixed‑income portfolio management. Proficiency with Bloomberg and fixed‑income portfolio management tools. Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and presentation skills. Ability to manage multiple client projects, work with traders, and deliver clear, professional presentations. Customer‑centric mindset and ability to work independently and in team settings. Education & Experience Bachelor’s Degree in a related discipline and 7–10 years of financial experience. Equivalent combination of education, experience, and/or training approved by Human Resources. Licenses & Certifications FINRA Series 7 required. Other applicable licenses or certifications are beneficial; the ability to obtain a necessary license is required by management. Travel Travel required: 15% of the time. Salary Range $62,353.20 – $130,000.00 per year.
