Echo Ultrasound Tech / Cardiac Sonographer / Echo Technologist

Jackson HealthPros is seeking an experienced Echo Ultrasound Tech / Cardiac Sonographer / Echo Technologist for a permanent role with an area healthcare client where you'll use your expertise to operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, compassionately prepare patients for echocardiogram procedure, and produce detailed images of the heart for interpretation by healthcare teams.

Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED.
• National certification from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).
• Registered Cardiac Sonographer credential required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Successful completion of an echocardiography certification program and/or two years hands-on experience with echocardiography.
• Experience performing transthoracic 2-D, M-Mode, color-flow Doppler, transesophageal, exercise stress and pharmacological echocardiography.
• Experience with EKG, Holter preparation/monitoring/analysis and cardiac stress testing.
• Experience using echocardiography equipment, cardiac stress systems, electrocardiographs, Holter monitors and computer analysis systems.
• Experience with hospital information systems for scheduling, processing and charging studies.
• Working knowledge of infection control, aseptic techniques and equipment disinfection.
• Ability to perform age-specific cardiac diagnostic testing, including neonatal and pediatric patients.
• Ability to provide preceptorship and clinical guidance to students from contracted colleges and universities.
