Job Description As a Corrections Facility Security Officer - Full Time in Charleston, SC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a government corrections location. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide professional customer service and clear communication. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeMon06:00 PM - 06:00 AMSat06:00 PM - 06:00 AMSun06:00 PM - 06:00 AM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to facility staff, visitors, and authorized personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established facility protocols. Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity or potential concerns. Monitor access to restricted areas, verify authorization as directed, and document visitor, vehicle, and incident information in accordance with site requirements. Communicate observations, incidents, and policy concerns to appropriate personnel and Allied Universal supervision, completing required reports accurately and promptly. Minimum Requirements: A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located. Possess at least one year of law enforcement experience, two years of security-related supervisor/manager experience, or three years of security-related experience. Be at least 21 years of age. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
