Job Title: Quality Inspector
Job Description

As a Quality Inspector, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of our measuring equipment and systems. You will be responsible for the modification, repair, and calibration of gage stands, fixtures, and tooling, maintaining high standards of measurement repeatability and precision.

Responsibilities

• Modify, repair, and rebuild gage stands, fixtures, and tooling according to revised engineering drawings and GD&T specifications.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance on gauge stands, including cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting components to ensure optimal performance.
• Calibrate and certify gauges and measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, thread gages, and indicators according to established schedules and procedures.
• Design or assist in the design and fabrication of new custom gauges and fixtures to support production requirements.
• Conduct Gage Repeatability and Reproducibility (GR&R) studies to evaluate measurement system capability and troubleshoot measurement issues on the production floor.
• Maintain meticulous records of gage modifications, repairs, and calibration certificates in a gage management system.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in mechanical troubleshooting and repair.
• Experience with hand tools and preventive maintenance practices.
• Knowledge of diesel engines and related components.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience using gage management systems such as GageTrak or High QA.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate documentation.

Work Environment

The position operates on a standard shift from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. The work environment involves using various hand tools and equipment to perform maintenance and calibration tasks.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Morristown, TN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $19.00/hr.
