Job Overview:

Insight Global is seeking a customer-focused Patient Access Specialist to serve as the first point of contact for patients across multiple hospitals and outpatient centers. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys helping people, and can efficiently manage a high volume of calls while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

• Answer and manage a high volume of incoming patient calls.
• Schedule appointments, procedures, and visits across multiple locations.
• Collect and verify patient demographic, insurance, billing, and clinical information.
• Explain appointment instructions, preparation requirements, and patient expectations.
• Communicate copays, deductibles, and other financial information to patients.
• Respond to patient inquiries and route calls to appropriate departments.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, clinical staff, and ancillary departments.
• Provide real-time patient status updates when appropriate.
• Utilize multiple systems simultaneously to complete scheduling and registration tasks.
• Support additional administrative duties and special projects as needed.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 1 year of call center experience.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable navigating multiple computer systems simultaneously.
• Ability to manage a high volume of incoming calls professionally and efficiently.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a hospital, healthcare, or medical environment.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Previous patient scheduling, registration, or patient access experience.

Schedule

• Monday–Friday: 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM
• Every 5th Saturday: 6:30 AM – 2:00 PM
