Join us in this exciting journey where we create lasting connections, provide outstanding service, and stand by our values every step of the way.What You'll Do:Diagnose and repair diesel engines, fuel systems, electrical systems, emissions systems, and drivability concerns.Perform major engine repairs and service transmissions, steering, suspension, brakes, and HVAC systems.Use diagnostic software and service information to identify the root cause of complex issues.Diagnose CAN bus, EGR, DPF, and SCR system concerns.Document diagnostic findings, repairs completed, parts used, and recommended repairs.Complete work safely and according to manufacturer specifications.Maintain a clean, organized work area and communicate repair status clearly.QualificationsWhat You'll Bring:At least 5 years of professional diesel mechanic experience; 7 or more years preferred.High school diploma or GED is required. Trade school education is preferred.Advanced knowledge of diesel engines, fuel systems, electrical systems, and emissions systems.Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.Experience performing major diesel engine repairs.Advanced experience with transmissions, steering, suspension, brake systems, and HVAC systems.Ability to use diagnostic software, wiring diagrams, technical manuals, and electronic service information.Ability to work independently and manage complex repairs with minimal supervision.Strong attention to detail and accurate documentation skills.Must provide personal hand tools; diagnostic equipment and specialty tools will be provided by the shop.Driving RequirementsMust have a valid Virginia driver's license.Must have positive points on state driving record.Must be at least 21 years of age unless company approval is granted.Must not have had a DUI, DWI, or reckless driving conviction in the last five years.All driving records are run as part of our pre-employment process and reviewed at the discretion of the Safety Team.Physical RequirementsMust be able to crawl, kneel, squat, and climb.Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis, unassisted.Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.What We Offer:Doswell Operating Group offers a wide range of employee benefits, including:A welcoming, family-oriented work environment that supports work/life balance.401K plan with Roth and Traditional options, including a 25% company match on up to 6% of your income.Medical insurance with three plan choices, including Health Savings Account options.Dental insurance with two plan choices.Vision insurance coverage.Flexible spending account.Tuition reimbursement.Access to apprenticeship training programs.Scholarship opportunities for you and your family.Paths for cross-training and career advancement.Paid vacation and PTO that accrues from day one.Employee Assistance Program for support when needed.Not everyone may fulfill all the requirements listed here.
