Job Title

Travel: RN Med/Surg (3x12's - Nights)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 3x12-hour shifts per week | 36 hours guaranteed weekly | Rotating weekends and holidays | No call requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 34-bed post-surgical unit with a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Care for post-operative patients including those recovering from general and bariatric surgery, as well as overflow medical patients
• Manage surgical drains and post-operative monitoring in accordance with unit protocols
• Utilize Epic EMR and Pyxis medication dispensing systems for accurate documentation and medication administration
• Float to similar Med/Surg units based on rotation and census needs
• Complete assigned education modules prior to reporting to the floor on the first day

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience
• Current BLS certification
• Proficiency with Epic EMR
• Experience with surgical drains
• Strong teamwork, flexibility, and time management skills

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Post-surgical nursing experience
• Med/Surg unit background
• Demonstrated ability to serve as a strong patient advocate in a fast-paced environment
