Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a high-acuity Cath Lab/EP position requiring interventional scrub experience, Level 1 trauma background, and a valid MO or compact RN license.

Details

• Short-term acute care hospital setting in a high-volume, high-acuity Cath Lab/EP unit
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Patient population includes AMI, chest pain, heart failure, NSTEMI, aortic stenosis, V-tach, endocarditis, A-fib, peripheral vascular disease, and sick sinus syndrome
• RN Circulator role working in a diagnostic and interventional PCI environment
• Specialized equipment includes Impella and IABP
• Epic EMR used for documentation; experience required
• Schedule is 4x10-hour shifts with rotating start times: 0700–1730 (standard), 0700–1730 (late), and 1000–2030 (close) as needed
• Every other weekend required
• Rotating on-call required, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays — subject to change based on unit needs
• Floating within the service line required to meet facility needs
• Block scheduling is not available
• Navy scrubs required

Requirements

• Active MO RN license or compact RN license currently in hand required at time of consideration
• Current certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab RN experience required
• Level 1 trauma facility experience required
• High-volume, high-acuity Cath Lab experience required
• Interventional scrub experience required
• Epic EMR experience required

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include providing conscious sedation under attending direction, handing off sterile supplies, assessing vitals, and documenting in Epic
• Will likely cross-train to run hemodynamics in a monitor tech role
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract; no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation
• Former permanent employees must wait 1 year before returning to any facility in this health system as a traveler
• Travelers may remain for up to 18 months, after which a 3-month break in service is required before returning
