Job Title Part Time - Baking and Pastry Instructor Location Woodland Community College, Woodland, CA Job Description Woodland Community College seeks a part‑time Baking and Pastry Instructor to develop and deliver instructional lectures for baking courses up to 10 hours per week. The instructor will organize and teach all levels of baking classes, using appropriate teaching methods to facilitate student learning. Teaching assignments may include day, evening, and weekend sessions, with the possibility of distance learning and accelerated courses. The instructor will assess student learning outcomes each semester, provide timely feedback, and respond to student communication in a timely manner. Participation in department, division, and college-wide initiatives and committees is encouraged. Responsibilities Develop and deliver instructional lectures for baking courses up to 10 hours/week Organize and teach all levels of baking classes Use appropriate teaching methods to facilitate student learning Teach day, evening, and/or weekend assignments, including distance learning and accelerated courses Assess student learning outcomes each semester Provide timely feedback to students and post grades regularly Respond to student communication in a timely manner Participate in department, division, and college-wide initiatives and committees if desired Required Qualifications Any associate degree and six years of full‑time occupational experience in the related field OR any bachelor’s degree and two years of full‑time occupational experience in the related field OR equivalent experience Possess a California Community Life credential in the subject matter area Possession of a ServSafe Food Handler, Manager, and Responsible Alcohol Certification Experience working in an environment that focuses on hospitality and customer service Preferred Qualifications Any additional related experience or certifications that enhance instructional effectiveness Physical Demands Class I - VII (Based on degree and teaching experience) Salary and Benefits Part‑time positions less than 0.60 FTE are not entitled to any District paid fringe benefits.
