Senior Quality Engineer

Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the quality assurance team, ensuring adherence to company standards, customer requirements, and industry regulations. Apply advanced technical knowledge of hydraulic motors and systems to evaluate product performance, identify nonconformities, and lead corrective actions. Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) processes for recurring or high-impact quality issues. Monitor and analyze production processes using Statistical Process Control (SPC) tools to ensure product reliability and reduce scrap, rework, and warranty claims. Ensure proper application of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) in design and inspection activities. Oversee and ensure proper use of specialized measurement and inspection devices such as CMM, Vision Systems, and metallurgical testing equipment. Maintain accurate and complete quality documentation, including inspection records, test data, and audit reports, in compliance with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards. Train, mentor, and develop quality inspectors, engineers, and production personnel on quality standards, SPC, GD&T, inspection techniques, and hydraulic-specific processes. Promote a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement within the quality department. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Aeronautical Engineering (Technology) 5 years experience as a Quality Engineer in Hydraulics environments 3 years experience with inspection and testing equipment 3 years experience reading engineering drawings, specifications (GD&T), process control plans, PFMEA’s, routers, job instructions, standardized work, and basic statistical methods 3 years experience with AIAG Core Tools (PPAP, APQP, MSA, SPC and FMEA) Hours: 40 hours per week Location: 8701 N Harrison St, Shawnee, OK 74804 Danfoss is an Equal Opportunity Employer and VEVRAA Federal Contractor.
