- Medical Administrative Assistant - Full Time/Hourly - Fort Walton Beach
- Attend to patients on the phone and in person
- Coordinate and organize appointments and documentation
- Critical Thinking Skills Required
- Communication Skills Required
- Greet patients
- Register patients according to established protocols
- Assist patients to complete all necessary forms and documentation
- Inform patients of medical office procedures and policy
- Maintain and manage patient records
- Answer incoming calls and deal with inquiries
- Schedule patient appointments
- Collect co-pays and payments
- Schedule hospital admissions, tests, scans and outside appointments for patients
- Respond and comply to requests for information
- Deal with incoming and outgoing post
- Complete other clerical duties as assigned
- Maintain stock of forms and office supplies
- Ensure reception area is well maintained, neat and clean
- Safeguard patient privacy and confidentiality
- Must be a team player
- Performance reviewed every 90 days by physician and hiring team
- Pay determined based on experience
- No Medical Benefits included
- High School Diploma or GED
- Associates or Certificate in any Allied Health Field preferred but not required
- At least 2 years experience in healthcare field
