Job Overview:
The Ascentium Customer Service Specialist I is primarily responsible for handling inbound customer calls regarding account questions and related matters. This role involves providing exceptional customer service, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction while adhering to company policies. The position is part of a dynamic team that supports a wide range of industries, including technology, healthcare, hospitality, and more.

Responsibilities:

• Receive customer phone calls and resolve issues or concerns as necessary.
• Research accounts to gather pertinent information and address issues.
• Determine the best methods to resolve problems to ensure customer satisfaction and compliance with company policies.
• Respond to billing inquiries and provide accurate information.
• Handle verification of payment histories and provide payoff quotes.
• Coordinate problem resolution with appropriate departments.
• Inform customers of standard procedures or resolutions to their problems.
• Follow up verbally or in writing to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Work under close supervision or within clearly defined procedures.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• One (1) year of customer service experience.

Skills and Competencies:

• Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Willingness to learn additional systems as needed.
• Ability to work in a team environment when applicable.
• Capability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Strong attention to detail and proofreading skills.
• Excellent verbal, written communication, and organizational skills.
• Strong work ethic and self-motivation.
