The Danville Baseball Club is home to one of Virginia's most exciting summer baseball brands: the Danville Otterbots (proud members of the Appalachian League powered by Major League Baseball and USA Baseball). Located in Danville, Virginia, the organization's mission is to provide unforgettable, community-driven entertainment while delivering the highest standard of fan experience. The Social Media & Marketing Intern will drive the day-to-day voice of both brands online, creating content that builds fan engagement and supports ticket, group, and sponsorship sales.

Internship Goals:

• Learn how a small-market sports organization builds and manages its brand across digital platforms.
• Gain hands-on experience planning, creating, and posting content across all team social channels.
• Develop skills in email marketing, audience growth, and digital campaign strategy.
• Exposure to leadership responsibilities in:
  • Social Media Management & Strategy
  • Content Creation & Graphic Design
  • Email Marketing
  • Game Day Promotions Collaboration

Internship Requirements:

• Full-time summer internship from Mid-May to the beginning of August.
• Must be working towards a Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, sports management, or a related field.
• Must be able to work all events and game days.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Basic graphic design and content creation skills preferred
