Qualifications

Education:

• Required: Bachelor degree in Medical Laboratory Technology from an accredited program.
• Required: BS in Medical Laboratory Technology

Work Experience:

• Required: Internship in a hospital laboratory.
• Preferred: 2 years practical experience

Licensure/Certifications/Registrations:

• Required: Successful completion of the registration exam of a nationally recognized licensing agency, i.e. ASCP, NCA, ASCLT;

Other Skills/Knowledge:

• Must have excellent analytical skills, be able to work under pressure; must be detail oriented and organized. Must have good manual dexterity and good color vision.

Hazardous working conditions in which individual is exposed to definite risk of bodily injury through contact with moving instrumentation, chemicals, and/or body fluids.
