Assistant Manager I

Assistant Store Manager Location: 1999 Barataria Blvd., Marrero, Louisiana 70072-4225 Responsibilities Assist with store functions and day‑to‑day store activities. Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address any questions or concerns. Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom and sales floor, ensuring seasonal areas remain updated. Perform opening and closing procedures as needed. Process all corporate directives, including Pull and Hold/Destroy, Task Compliance, Key Survey information requests and other store‑related communications. Maintain promotional effectiveness of store‑front fixtures and displays. Assist with merchandise ordering, damaged merchandise processing, record keeping (payroll, scheduling, cash register deposits and receipts), and loss prevention. Maintain a well‑stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards. Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash. Adhere to policies and procedures, including safety guidelines, and ensure all associates follow company policies. Help the Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates. Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment while maintaining professional and friendly interactions with customers, associates, and leaders. Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathroom cleaning and restocking, sweeping and mopping floors, taking out trash, and ensuring all areas are neat and presentable. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent (preferred). Ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives (e.g., merchandise schematics). Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment (preferred). Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. from floor to shoulder height and be able to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, climb, push, pull, and perform repetitive lifting. Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills. Ability to work in a high‑energy, team environment. Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills.
