Overview Safety & Airworthiness Specialist — On site in Everett, WA (100% on site). W2 only. Must have experience performing Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations. Job Description: Airworthiness & Regulatory Specialist (Mid-Level or Senior) to join our team in Everett, Washington. Investigations follow a structured problem-solving approach with engagement from leadership and subject-matter experts. This position offers exposure to all aspects of airplane certification across the lifecycle and contributes to maintaining and restoring regulatory compliance. Responsibilities Lead investigations for issues related to FAA Letters of Investigation, Informal or Formal Compliance Actions, Voluntary Disclosures, Self-Audit findings, and Part 25 Airworthiness Non-Compliances across Systems, Structures, Payloads, and Propulsion. Coordinate with functional groups, management, executives, and suppliers to align on investigation status and resolution. Identify problem statements, develop comprehensive RCCA with systemic root causes, containment actions, corrective actions to prevent recurrence, and verification of non-recurrence. Coordinate with the Organizational Designation Authorization (ODA) to ensure investigation write-ups meet regulatory expectations. Collaborate with enterprise groups to continually improve processes and tools, ensuring readiness for the future of the organization and alignment with the broader Enterprise. Qualifications Required: 10+ years related work experience or equivalent education/experience. Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to interact with Boeing senior management and external customers, airlines, and regulatory agencies. Ability to lead, influence, and mentor a diverse team; initiative to lead cross-functional projects; ownership of work activities to ensure accuracy and timeliness. Ability to work onsite 100% in Everett, WA. Preferred Qualifications Experience with RCCA tools (e.g., 5-Why, Fishbone) or the Problem Solving Model. 1+ year experience with commercial airplane operation, certification, safety requirements and procedures. Working knowledge of FAA Regulatory Compliance and ODA procedures per 8100.15. 1+ year experience working with FAA or other regulatory agencies. 1+ year experience in Commercial Airplane-Systems design or analysis (e.g., Flight Controls, Hydraulics, Avionics, Fuels) or Systems Integration. Pilot's license and/or Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License. Typical Education & Experience Senior (Level 4): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education and 10+ years of related experience (examples include Bachelor with 10+ years, Master+8 years, etc.).
