MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Graduation from high school or possession of an equivalency diploma; OR
• 1 year of experience as a dispatcher in a emergency services organization; OR
• 1 year paid or volunteer experience as an active member of an emergency services organization, i.e. firefighter in an organized fire department, law enforcement officer, emergency medical personnel for an ambulance service, or closely-related position; OR
• 2 years of clerical experience; OR
• An equivalent combination of training or experience as defined by the limits of (A), (B), (C), and (D) above.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENT(S)/PREFERRED REQUIREMENT(S) FOR PART-TIME EMPLOYMENT:

• Previous 911 dispatch experience is STRONGLY preferred.
• Must commit to a minimum of 20 hours per week during training and a minimum of 24 hours once trained.
• The ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays, is preferred.
