Electrician

We are looking for an Experienced Electrician with 5+ years of experience to undertake a variety of tasks relating to setting up and maintaining electrical infrastructure. Due to the high amount of risk pertaining to this job, electricians must be responsible individuals with great attention to safety precautions. The ideal candidate must be experienced in different kinds of electrical devices and systems. Your role will involve installing electrical wiring in buildings, poles, troubleshooting malfunctions, blackouts, repairing appliances, and performing electrical repairs all within ordinance with national and local electrical codes. This job also requires you to work independently through a service software system while in constant communication with the team for guidance and accountability. You will be issued job tickets that are scheduled within the system and complete all job tickets assigned to you. Contribute to the growth of the business. Help motivate and inspire the team. Responsibilities Execute plans of electrical wiring for well functioning lighting, intercom and other electrical systems Install electrical apparatuses, fixtures and equipment for alarm and other systems Install safety and distribution components (e.g. switches, resistors, circuit-breaker panels etc.) Connect wiring in electrical circuits and networks ensuring compatibility of components using testing instruments Prepare and assemble conduits Prevent breakdown of systems by routinely inspecting and replacing old wiring and insulated cables, cleaning circuits etc. Perform effective troubleshooting to identify hazards or malfunctions and repair or substitute damaged units Install and connect power supply wiring, cables, conduit, and electrical apparatus in new and existing facilities following diagrams, schematics, or blueprints Skills 5+ years experience as a journeyman electrician 3+ years experience in residential electrical systems Demonstrable ability to use electrical and hand tools (e.g. wire strippers, voltmeter etc.) and electrical drawings and blueprints Thorough knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations and guidelines Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability Excellent physical condition and flexibility to work long shifts or on-call Diploma in relevant vocational training or successfully completed apprenticeship as an electrician Use of multimeter, ohmmeter, oscilloscope, and testing equipment; soldering iron; wire puller; pipe bender and threader; hand and power tools (saw, drill, etc.); trencher; jackhammer; concrete saw; ladder.
