Chief Financial Officer

CI Search has partnered with a growing publicly traded energy company is seeking a Senior Revenue Accountant to join its accounting team. This position offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, acquisition-focused environment with strong visibility across accounting, operations, production, land, and commercial teams. The ideal candidate will bring deep upstream oil & gas experience and a strong understanding of operated and non-operated revenue accounting, gas balancing, and month-end close processes Revenue Accounting Record and analyze monthly oil, gas, and NGL revenue activity for operated assets Process and review non-operated revenue statements and supporting documentation Reconcile revenue transactions to source data and ensure proper allocations Prepare monthly revenue accruals and related journal entries Support month-end close activities and account reconciliations Partner with operations, production, and land teams to investigate and resolve discrepancies Assist with audit requests and financial reporting support Manage the gas balancing process from data upload through final accounting Analyze imbalance positions by property, partner, and contract Record and reconcile gas balancing adjustments and liabilities Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for management and auditors Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve imbalances and support makeup agreements Additional Responsibilities Manage annual 1099 reporting requirements, including filings and corrections Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation Maintain strong internal controls and compliance with accounting policies Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 5+ years of upstream oil & gas revenue accounting experience Strong knowledge of operated and non-operated revenue accounting Hands‑on experience with gas balancing and imbalance accounting Experience managing 1099 reporting processes Advanced Excel skills Experience with oil & gas accounting systems such as Quorum, Enertia, P2, or similar platforms Why Consider This Opportunity?
