Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in Matillion and Google BigQuery . The ideal candidate will have experience designing, developing, and supporting scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT solutions in a cloud-based data environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data integration solutions.
- Build and optimize ETL/ELT workflows using Matillion .
- Develop and maintain data solutions using Google BigQuery .
- Write and optimize complex SQL queries, scripts, and procedures .
- Integrate data from multiple structured and unstructured data sources.
- Design and support data warehouse/data lake solutions.
- Perform data modeling and ensure data quality, consistency, and reliability.
- Troubleshoot pipeline failures, data issues, and performance bottlenecks.
- Work closely with business, analytics, and technical teams to understand data requirements and deliver appropriate solutions.
- Follow development, testing, deployment, and documentation best practices.
Required Skills
- 3+ years of Data Engineering experience
- Strong hands-on Matillion experience - MUST HAVE
- Strong hands-on Google BigQuery experience - MUST HAVE
- Strong experience with ETL/ELT and data pipeline development
- Strong SQL skills
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Experience with data warehousing and data modeling
- Experience working with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL
- Good understanding of data quality, performance optimization, and large-scale data processing

- Healthcare or life sciences domain experience

This is a W2-only opportunity. No C2C / third-party candidates.
Candidates must have strong, recent, hands-on experience with both Matillion and BigQuery .
