PEDS - Technical Lead

Tech Lead/Architect - 100% Remote - Contract/Contract-To-Hire
Minimum 2 rounds of interview. There will not be any coding or hands on challenges, but interviews will be technical.
Project Scope / Components:
- Commercial Data Engineering Team – they support 2 applications, Response Prioritization and a Monitoring tool (this tool is currently hybrid and will be moved to Azure)
- Both applications are Java/Azure based with CosmosDB
- Uma also has products that are Spark based that this resource could potentially work on
High-Level Individual Duties:
- Managing product commitments, ensuring delivery accountability by setting and adhering to deadlines
- Partner with the technical leadership from an architecture perspective. Will work on architecture and design processes
- Work closely with developers to ensure any roadblocks are dealt with efficiently
- Will not be doing any hands on development
Must-Haves (Concepts & Tools):
- Development background with object oriented languages – Java preferred, also open to Scala or C#
- Previous experience in a lead or management role
- Azure exposure – should have an understanding of Azure Functions. Experience with a migration from on-prem to Azure is ideal
