Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Mortgage Loan Officer. The Mortgage Loan Officer will manage the end-to-end loan process, from initial client contact through closing, ensuring a smooth and compliant experience. Responsibilities include consulting with borrowers to understand their financial needs, explaining available mortgage products, collecting and reviewing documentation, and coordinating with underwriting and processing teams. The role involves evaluating borrower eligibility, providing rate and payment estimates, and maintaining accurate records within loan origination systems. The Mortgage Loan Officer will also deliver responsive customer service, follow up on leads, maintain a pipeline of active applications, and adhere to all regulatory and company policies. Qualifications Experience working as a Loan Officer with responsibility for managing a pipeline of residential mortgage applications. Knowledge of the Mortgage Industry and understanding of current market trends, products, and regulations. Hands-on experience in Mortgage Lending, including loan origination, documentation review, and compliance requirements. Familiarity with Underwriting principles and criteria to effectively prepare and present loan files for approval. Strong Customer Service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, build trust, and guide clients through the mortgage process. Proficiency with mortgage loan origination systems and standard office software. Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management skills, with attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams. Relevant licensing as required by applicable jurisdiction (e.g., NMLS registration and state-specific mortgage loan originator licenses).
