Jr Software Engineer / Software Developer I - Evergreen

Description

ENDICTUS is seeking a Software Developer to support the design, development, deployment, and sustainment of software applications and Low-Code/No-Code solutions. In this role, you will design, code, test, and troubleshoot features under direct guidance while continuing to expand your technical capabilities across multiple technologies and development environments.

The ideal candidate is a versatile developer with experience in Python and C#/.NET who is comfortable working across traditional software development and Low-Code/No-Code platforms. Experience with OutSystems and UI/UX design is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Write clean, maintainable, efficient, and well-documented code across multiple programming languages and platforms.
• Design, develop, test, and maintain software features and application functionality.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software bugs, application issues, and minor performance problems.
• Learn and work within existing system architectures, codebases, development standards, and deployment processes.
• Participate in daily stand-ups, code reviews, technical discussions, and team design meetings.
• Collaborate with developers and other stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Demonstrate a willingness and ability to learn new frameworks, programming languages, platforms, and development tools.
• Assist with on-site technical support, application deployments, and troubleshooting as required.
• Develop, configure, maintain, and support Low-Code/No-Code application projects.
• Support application enhancements and improvements to usability, functionality, and user experience.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

• Proficiency in Python for general scripting and web backend development.
• Proficiency in C#/.NET for application and desktop development.
• Proficiency with Git version control and standard software development processes.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a collaborative software development environment.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain the background investigation or security clearance required for the position.

Preferred Qualifications

• Two (2) or more years of experience developing or supporting applications using OutSystems .
• Experience with or knowledge of UI/UX design principles and practices .
• Current Public Trust determination or active DoD SECRET clearance
• Familiarity with JavaScript and HTML web development.
• Familiarity with Docker and containerized application environments.
• Familiarity with SQL and/or MongoDB databases.

Education & Experience

Candidates must meet one of the following education and experience combinations:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline from an accredited college or university, plus at least two (2) years of relevant professional experience; or
• Associate's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline from an accredited college or university, plus at least four (4) years of relevant professional experience.
