Directs and coordinates nursing personnel activities on designated shifts, overseeing staff and patient care. Assures real-time documentation, including review of task lists and prompt initiation and sign-off of physician’s orders. Advises nurses on the appropriateness of calling physicians. Assists staff in using electronic quality management tools to evaluate treatment plans and ensure quality outcomes. Uses chart audit reports to monitor adherence to documentation guidelines and assists staff in achieving documentation goals.
