Make a positive impact every day by supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in a dynamic school-based setting near Bedford, TX. This full-time, contract position is ideal for compassionate professionals energized by helping children strengthen their communication skills and succeed in the classroom environment.

You’ll collaborate closely with a supervising Speech-Language Pathologist to implement evidence-based treatment plans and ensure each student receives targeted support tailored to their unique needs. Your work will play a vital role in fostering growth, confidence, and essential communication abilities in students, contributing to their overall academic and social success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individual and group speech-language therapy sessions as outlined by the supervising SLP
• Collect, document, and maintain accurate data and therapy progress notes
• Assist with screenings for speech, language, and hearing under SLP direction
• Prepare therapy materials and facilitate classroom-based interventions
• Maintain organized and confidential student records
• Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and educational professionals
• Participate in implementation and follow-through of IEPs as designed by the SLP
• Uphold all relevant state, district, and professional guidelines

Minimum Qualifications:

• Active Texas SLPA License (TDLR)
• Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders, Speech-Language Pathology, or related qualifying field
• Completion of state-required clinical observation and assisting experience
• Ability to work effectively under SLP supervision
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
• Previous school-based experience is a plus, but not required
