Role Description

We are seeking a Quality Management Specialist to join our team in Putnam Connecticut, on-site. This is a full time role responsible for maintaining and improving quality management systems, including developing, implementing, and monitoring quality standards, procedures, and documentation.

The Quality Management Specialist will play a key role in driving quality excellence throughout the organization by developing and implementing quality standards, procedures, and documentation. This position will collaborate closely with manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, and leadership teams to ensure compliance with customer, regulatory, and company requirements while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and enhance the Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with applicable industry standards and company requirements.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor quality procedures, work instructions, and documentation.
  • Conduct internal audits, process audits, and quality inspections to verify compliance and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Lead root cause investigations and facilitate corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to address nonconformities.
  • Analyze quality data, metrics, and trends to identify risks and drive process improvements.
  • Prepare and present quality reports, key performance indicators (KPIs), and management review materials.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives using quality tools and methodologies.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and improve operational performance.
  • Assist with supplier quality activities, including issue resolution and quality performance monitoring.
  • Ensure compliance with customer requirements, regulatory standards, and internal quality objectives.
  • Support employee training and awareness programs related to quality systems, procedures, and best practices.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical discipline; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS), quality assurance principles, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience with ISO standards, internal auditing, corrective and preventive action (CAPA) processes, and quality system documentation.
  • Proficiency in quality data analysis and reporting using tools such as Microsoft Excel and basic statistical methods.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct root cause analysis and implement effective corrective actions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 8 + years of experience in electronics manufacturing, interconnect products, telecommunications, data center technologies, or other high-tech manufacturing environments.
  • Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC), Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or related quality improvement methodologies.
  • Experience working with suppliers and supplier quality management processes.
  • Quality certifications such as ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), or similar credentials.
