Assembly Inspector

Overview Responsible for the coordination of quality activities mainly assembly inspections of varying degree, root cause-corrective actions (RCCA), FAIs, NCRs, and supplier issues. Responsible for internal customer contact in a cross-functional work environment by performing the following duties. Responsibilities Duties and Responsibilities:
Education/Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Specialized Training:

- Responsible for daily assembly inspection, ensuring product is per type design.
- Understands communication and feedback between incoming and downstream internal customers.
- Coordinates containment of stock and WIP as needed through quality investigations.
- Attends QRB meetings supporting QE's and internal issues that are tracked and documented.
- Provides real time shop floor support for quality based investigations and resolutions.
- Works with the QEs on customer returns, RMA process, and documentation of the quality portion of the RCCA process.
- Creates NCR's and other quality documentation as required.
- Identifies any known or potential problems.
- Recommends solutions for known or potential problems throughout the internal audit and/or corrective/preventative action processes.
Education/Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Specialized Training:
- Three to five years' experience in precision sheet metal, assembly shop environment or equivalent
- First Article Inspection Measurements
