- Associate degree in nursing
- 2 years of experience preferred; will consider 18 months of experience under highest level of professional license
Description:
Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals. Will accept 36 or 48 hours per week. Holidays required. Every other weekend required. The Medical Respiratory Unit specializes in the care of acute and chronic respiratory conditions. Nurses have a 1:6 patient ratio and provide care to predominantly respiratory patients requiring treatment for pneumonia, shortness of breath, COPD, or other lung diseases. This unit also cares for a variety of medical patients with gastrointestinal issues, diabetes, and occasional stroke and surgical patients. Patients benefit from daily rounds with an interdisciplinary team. The unit houses an 8-bed respiratory step-down area with a 1:4 nursing ratio.
