Associate Athletic Director, Compliance

Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking an Associate Athletic Director for Compliance. The position reports to the Executive Senior Associate Athletic Director and will oversee a staff member and assist with day‑to‑day operations in conjunction with a peer Associate AD. Key duties include: Managing all athletic compliance matters for high‑profile programs, with an emphasis on basketball, and ensuring adherence to Bylaws 11, 12, 13, 14, 16, 17, and 20. Providing timely rules education to all individuals involved within the program(s). Monitoring program activities. Providing game‑day support at home and away contests and ensuring compliance with NCAA, CSC, Big Ten Conference, and institutional requirements. Managing CAPS and HyperWallet for their respective sports. Overseeing the Office of Athletic Compliance’s oversight of the Academic Support Services for Student‑Athletes (ASSSA) staff to ensure compliance with NCAA and Big Ten Conference legislation. Managing and overseeing the Office of Athletic Compliance’s comprehensive rules‑education program for all groups under NCAA legislation (coaches, staff, student‑athletes, part‑time employees, etc.). Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Five (5) years of minimum relevant experience. Excellent written and oral communication skills with strong attention to detail. Excellent working knowledge of NCAA Division I and CSC rules.
