Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Join a retail pharmacy team serving a community grocery store setting in Alamogordo, New Mexico, with an opportunity to cover shifts at a secondary location as needed, including occasional weekends. This travel contract position offers a direct client relationship and flexibility for assignments of 13 weeks or longer, with shorter contracts also considered.

Schedule:

• Monday, Tuesday, Thursday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• Wednesday, Friday: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Closed weekends and six major holidays at primary location
• Occasional weekend coverage at secondary retail location

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Active New Mexico pharmacist license in good standing, or commitment to obtain prior to start
• Minimum one year as a registered pharmacist preferred
• APhA Pharmacy-Based Immunization Delivery Certification, or willingness to gain within 30 days
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, or willingness to obtain within 30 days
• Strong experience in retail pharmacy, preferably in a community grocery store setting
• Ability to supervise pharmacy technicians and manage daily pharmacy operations
• Flexibility to cover shifts at both primary and secondary locations

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately prepare, review, and dispense medication orders following all protocols
• Maintain comprehensive and accurate patient medication profiles
• Supervise and direct pharmacy technician staff, verifying their daily tasks
• Participate in medical emergency response alongside the pharmacy team
• Conduct medication storage inspections and remove outdated medications
• Orient and train new pharmacy team members as needed
• Uphold infection control protocols throughout all pharmacy activities
