MRI Technologist - Per Diem

Role Summary: MRI Technologists utilize radiofrequencies within a magnetic field for diagnostic, therapeutic, or research purposes. They perform and assist with magnetic resonance imaging procedures, acquire and analyze data for diagnosis, and ensure patient safety and quality standards are met. Key Responsibilities Obtain correct orders, properly identify and prepare patients, and document clinical history with confidentiality. Utilize appropriate imaging protocols, optimize technical factors, and apply ALARA principles to maximize safety. Administer medications via vascular access as prescribed, evaluate image quality, and verify data storage and transfer. Educate and monitor students and healthcare providers, applying safety principles to minimize risks. Assist with interventional procedures, select pulse sequences, and perform prescribed MRI scans. Participate in quality improvement activities and demonstrate proficiency in routine and complex duties. Qualifications & Skills: Certifications required from recognized radiology or MRI technologist boards (ARRT, ARMRIT, NMTCB). Graduate of a radiologic technology training program; a bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
