Weekend RN Supervisor
Join Avir at Rusk, a leader in delivering exceptional care to our patients and residents, as a Weekend RN Supervisor. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest quality care is provided to our patients.
About the Role
As a Weekend RN Supervisor, you will assist in directing and coordinating the provision of nursing care to residents, consistent with standard nursing practices. You will work closely with the Director of Nursing to participate in the performance of duties and tasks, and contribute to the orientation and professional development of the nursing staff. Your strong communication and interpersonal skills will enable you to effectively coordinate with the interdisciplinary team and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
• Assist in directing and coordinating the provision of nursing care to residents consistent with standard nursing practices, at the direction of the Director of Nursing
• Participate in and contribute to the performance of duties/task assigned to the Director of Nursing
• Assist in assuring the provision of treatments, medications, and nursing services according to care plans and physicians' instructions
• Contribute to the orientation and professional development of the nursing staff
• May coordinate nursing team meetings
• May participate in assessment and evaluation of nursing services and nursing staff
• Assist with nursing service quality assessment and assurance functions and activities
• Perform other duties/tasks as assigned by the Director of Nursing
• Maintain compliance with requirements in compliance program/plan
• Coordinate services with interdisciplinary team
• 10 hour shift every Saturday and Sunday
Requirements
• Current valid unencumbered License as a Registered Nurse in Texas
• Experience in a long term care setting is preferred
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills are necessary
• Supervisory experience is an asset
