divh2Emergency Center Registered Nurse/h2pThis is a 35 bed Emergency Center and Level II Trauma Center. Our Emergency Center services a diverse patient population from both Oakland and Wayne County. Our physical plant includes a 3 bed trauma room, fast track area (Express Care), 2 psychiatric rooms, 2 isolation rooms and an RN Greeter location that initiates a split flow type of patient rooming process. The Emergency Center is staffed by ER Physicians, Residents, Registered Nurses, Emergency Technicians, Unit Secretaries, and Emergency Service Associates./ppRecognized by U.S News and World Report as one of the nations high-performing facilities for multiple procedures and conditions and has been recognized as a Magnet-designed hospital for nursing excellence. This hospital has grown in size and capabilities over the decades to become a Level II trauma center, serving the community since 1965. It also serves as the base teaching hospital for Michigan State University./ph3Scope of Work/h3pThe RN, under the ANA scope of practice utilizes the framework of the nursing process to provide professional nursing care by incorporating patient-family centered care principles to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and discharge. The RN provides quality patient care under the direction of the Nurse Leader according to Corewell Health policies and procedures and recognizes the impact of nursing care and patient/family partnerships on patient outcomes. The RN partners with and utilizes patient/family input and goals in planning plan of care and develops teaching strategies for patient/family; documents education and learning appropriately in health record./ph3Qualifications/h3ulliAssociates or Diploma in Nursing Required/liliBachelors in Nursing Required within 5 years if new graduate/nurse with less than one (1) year experience/liliGraduates from a non-accredited school of nursing must have at least one year of acute care experience or at least two years of experience in a licensed health care role and must have successfully passed the NCLEX licensure examination/liliMI Registered Nurse (RN) Required/liliBasic Life Support (BLS) required upon hire/transfer from one of the following organizations - American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or Canadian Heart and Stroke./liliACLS within 6 months of hire/transfer. TNCC within 1 year of hire/transfer. ENPC within 15 months of hire/transfer/liliSpecialty Certification highly recommended within 2 years/liliPrefer RN experience.
