IT Project Manager

DPP is seeking an IT Project Manager for an opportunity with our client in the healthcare insurance industry.

Work Location: Hybrid in Columbia SC; onsite Tues Wed Thurs
Duration: 12 months
Terms: W2 Contract
Work Authorization: US Citizen; must be able to obtain/maintain a low-level (Public Trust) clearance

About the Team:

• The team is comprised of 6 project managers (4 FTEs 2 Contractors.) All have been with the company for more than 10 years.
• The overall team are a bunch of self-starters and work independently of each but they all have a good collaborative working relationship.

Responsibilities:

• Leading multiple IT related efforts.
• Working with customers project teams vendors and management to plan schedule and implement solutions to meet our customers requirements.
• Responsible for all phases of the project life cycle.
• Daily tasks include scheduling and leading meetings reporting status of efforts to all levels of stakeholders.
• Creation or updating of appropriate documentation and most importantly problem solving.

Required Education:

• Bachelors Degree or 4 years of job-related work experience;
• OR 2 years of job-related experience plus an associates degree in any major.

Required Work Experience:

• 3 years IT experience in a leadership capacity on one or more project teams.
• Completion of the Training Program for Project Management may substitute for one year of work experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• PMP certification is a plus but not required.
