This role is essential for supporting our day-to-day IT procurement functions and ensuring the timely acquisition of hardware, software, and services. You will work directly with the IT Procurement Lead to manage a high volume of requests, improve processes, and help alleviate a significant backlog.This is a critical support role that will help reduce operational risks, eliminate bottlenecks, and ensure our teams have the technology they need to succeed. The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem-solver who is comfortable with both administrative tasks and vendor communication.Key Responsibilities:* Procurement and Order Processing: Assist in the end-to-end procurement process, including creating purchase orders, managing requisitions, and tracking orders for IT hardware (laptops, monitors, etc.) and software licenses.* Service Ticket Management: Triage and process incoming IT service requests from ServiceNow, ensuring they are accurately categorized and routed for fulfillment.* Vendor and Stakeholder Communication: Act as a point of contact for routine inquiries from internal stakeholders and external vendors regarding order status and product availability.* Inventory and Asset Management: Help maintain accurate records of IT assets and inventory using spreadsheets (Excel) and other tracking tools.* Documentation and Reporting: Assist in tracking contracts, renewals, and cost-saving initiatives. Help prepare reports on procurement activities and spending.* Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline manual tasks and contribute to the improvement of procurement workflows, particularly within ServiceNow.**What you should bring*** 1-3 years of experience in a procurement, purchasing, or operations support role, preferably within an IT department.* Experience with ticketing systems (ServiceNow is a significant plus). High proficiency in Microsoft Excel (or Smartsheet) for data tracking and management.* Excellent organizational skills and a strong ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
