Market ManagerWe're looking for a highly motivated, field-based Market Manager to support the growth of the Purina Feed brand across Farm & Ranch retail partners in the Mid-west Region.This role is focused on in-store execution, product support, and building strong relationships at the store level. You will spend the majority of your time in-market working directly with store teams to improve product placement, increase visibility, and drive sales. The Market Manager independently manages day-to-day market execution decisions within an assigned territory, using store-level insights, sales trends, and business priorities to determine where to focus time, resources, and partner engagement.This is a high-travel role that requires regular overnight stays and a strong ability to work independently in the field.Sales area includes Minnesota, Wisconsin and Iowa. Candidates must be located within the sales area.Drive In-Store ExecutionVisit retail stores regularly to support merchandising, product placement to elevate overall brand presenceEnsure products are set according to planograms and company standards and make real-time recommendations to improve product placement, shelf presence and promotional execution in alignment with brand and retail standardsIdentify opportunities to improve shelf space, visibility, and performanceDrive Engagement and Influence Store TeamsDrive engagement with store associates and leaders around products and selling approachDetermine store-level execution priorities based on sales performance, merchandising gaps, product availability, and growth opportunities.Build relationships that increase product knowledge and confidence at the store levelPartner with Retail LeadershipServe as the primary field contact for assigned stores, independently assessing needs and recommending actions to Retail Operations Managers and retail leadersCoordinate with Retail Operations Manager (ROMs) to support new store openings, product launches, and ongoing training needsIdentify execution barriers, determine appropriate next steps, and escalate issues or opportunities that require cross-functional support.Support the introduction and expansion of new products in stores and provide recommendations where gaps might exist.Support Retail Growth and ExpansionSupport an expanding retail footprint, including new store locations and increased store coverage needsPrioritize store coverage and field support across the assigned market based on business opportunity, store performance, new product activity, and retail partner needs.Collaborate and Support Field InitiativesPartner with internal teams across sales, marketing, and retail operations to ensure consistent execution in-storeAssist with regional events, promotions, and store resetsParticipate in retailer meetings and calls as neededWhat You'll BringEducation and ExperienceBachelor's degree required1 year of experience in retail, sales, or store-level training (CPG or similar industry preferred)Ability to use sales data, store observations, and partner feedback to make sound territory-level decisions and recommendations.Experience working directly with retail stores or field-based environments is preferredTravel RequirementsApproximately 80% travelExpect 3 to 4 overnight stays most weeksSkills and CapabilitiesStrong ability to work independently and manage a field-based territoryEffective communicator, comfortable training and presenting to groupsOrganized and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentStrong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships at the store levelBasic analytical skills with the ability to use sales data to inform decisionsComfortable working in a hands-on, customer-facing roleAbility to record store visits in salesforce, creating a communication loopPreferred BackgroundExperience in agriculture, livestock, or feed industryFamiliarity with Farm & Ranch or similar retail environmentsUnderstanding of retail merchandising and store resetsExperience with basic digital tools for communication or trainingCompensationThis is a sales role that is compensated with a target mix of base salary plus commission.Base salary is dependent upon experience/tenure and generally ranges between: $70,800 - $106,200Target bonus is: Ten ThousandIn most cases, candidates offered employment can expect to be hired at a pay rate near the middle of our salary ranges.About Land O'Lakes, Inc.Join us and be part of a Fortune 250, farmer- and member-owned cooperative that is reimagining the business of food.
