Medical Surgical - Orthopedic Unit - Travel Registered Nurse

Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 12 months of Medical Surgical - Orthopedic Unit experience.

• Experience with Epic is required.

• Trauma Level 1 experience is required within the last 12 months.

• ASN completion required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Illinois license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• 24 months gap required between for Staff at Program: RightSourcing Program - Carle Health and no current placement allowed at Program: RightSourcing Program - Carle Health.

Additional Details:

Required Credentials: ASN. Temp Illinois licensure is not accepted.

Preferred Credentials: BSN.

Unit Details: Cares for orthopedic and medical-surgical patients. Educates patients on wound care, proper mobility, self-care, medication management, care transition needs, and additional patient-specific needs. Coordinates care with physician and surgeon partners. Sets up ortho traction and manipulates surgical traction devices for mobility and wound care. Manages wound vacs, drains, pouches, and other urological devices.

Shift & Scheduling: 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week period. Rotating holidays. On-call: none.

Floating Requirements: Will float to similar units. Travelers assigned to the Greater Peoria Service Area may be required to float between the following sites: Carle Health Methodist Hospital, Carle Health Pekin Hospital, and/or Carle Health Proctor Hospital. The Carle Leader will notify the traveler directly when there is a need to float between locations.

• AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW : This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear “Yes” or “No” response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
