What You'll Do

• Operate production machinery, fabrication equipment, and power tools safely and efficiently.
• Measure, cut, fabricate, and assemble conveyor belts according to customer specifications and work orders.
• Install mechanical fasteners, cleats, guides, and other belt components.
• Read and follow work instructions, basic blueprints, and measurement specifications.
• Set up equipment and make adjustments to ensure product quality and production efficiency.
• Inspect completed work to verify accuracy, fit, and quality standards.
• Troubleshoot minor equipment and production issues when they arise.
• Track materials and complete production documentation accurately.
• Operate pallet jacks, forklifts, and other material handling equipment when needed.
• Support general production, assembly, and warehouse operations.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications

• At least 1 year of manufacturing, production, assembly, warehouse, or skilled trade experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to accurately read and use a tape measure.
• Experience using hand tools and power tools.
• Ability to follow work instructions and basic blueprints.
• Ability to lift materials and perform hands-on production work throughout the shift.
• Commitment to quality, safety, and teamwork.

Preferred Qualifications

• Machine operation experience.
• Mechanical experience such as automotive maintenance, equipment repair, or similar hands-on work.
• Forklift or pallet jack experience.
• Experience with fabrication, assembly, or manufacturing equipment.
• Exposure to CNC or automated machinery.
• Experience reading technical drawings or blueprints.
• Basic troubleshooting skills for production equipment.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of West Des Moines, IA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
