An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Project Engineer to lead the successful delivery of complex engineering projects from concept through to completion. This role will suit a technically strong and organised professional who can manage multiple priorities, coordinate stakeholders and ensure that projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on time and within budget.


You will take ownership of project engineering activities, providing technical leadership and supporting the development of robust solutions that meet client, regulatory and quality requirements. Working closely with design, procurement, manufacturing, construction and commissioning teams, you will ensure effective communication and smooth progress throughout each project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate engineering projects from initial scope and design through to installation, testing and handover.
• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, risk registers, budgets and technical documentation.
• Review specifications, drawings, calculations and engineering deliverables to ensure compliance with required standards.
• Coordinate internal teams, suppliers, contractors and other stakeholders to resolve technical and programme issues.
• Monitor project performance, identify risks and implement appropriate mitigation and recovery actions.
• Support procurement activities, supplier assessments, contract discussions and technical inspections.
• Ensure that health and safety, quality, environmental and regulatory requirements are embedded throughout delivery.
• Prepare progress reports, chair meetings and provide clear updates to senior stakeholders and clients.

About you


You will hold a relevant engineering qualification and have substantial experience delivering projects within an engineering, manufacturing, construction, infrastructure or related technical environment. A recognised project management qualification would be advantageous, alongside experience using project planning and document control systems.


Strong communication, problem-solving and decision-making skills are essential. You will be confident working independently while also motivating multidisciplinary teams, managing competing demands and building effective relationships at all levels. The ability to interpret technical information, challenge constructively and maintain a clear focus on delivery will be highly valued.
