Phlebotomist

POSITION: Midnight in-patient phlebotomist
LOCATION: Ann Arbor
COMPENSATION: $17.50
SHIFTS HOURS: 10:00pm-6:00am, 5 days and three of those days with be mandatory Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.


POSITION OVERVIEW
Responsibilities:

- Perform venipuncture and collect blood specimens from patients
- Label and properly store collected specimens for laboratory testing
- Follow established laboratory procedures and protocols
- Verify patient information and maintain accurate records
- Prepare and maintain equipment and supplies needed for phlebotomy procedures
- Adhere to safety and infection control policies and guidelines
- Provide exceptional patient care and ensure a positive experience
Skills:

- Proficient in laboratory techniques related to phlebotomy
- Knowledge of clinical laboratory procedures and practices
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in specimen collection and labeling
- Strong communication skills to interact with patients and healthcare professionals
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with medical terminology and understanding of patient confidentiality
