Finance Analyst

Our client is seeking a Finance Analyst to partner closely with Project Managers and cross-functional teams to support project financial performance, forecasting, and strategic decision-making. What You'll Do Partner with Project Managers to ensure accurate project cost tracking and financial performance reporting Analyze utilization, labor costs, open commitments, forecasts, and key project metrics Support budgeting, forecasting, and month-end close activities Assist with pricing, bids, and proposals, including reviewing cost estimates and evaluating financial risks Perform variance analysis against budgets, forecasts, and original project plans Identify financial risks and opportunities and communicate recommendations to stakeholders Develop and enhance reporting tools, dashboards, and financial models to improve visibility into project performance Drive process improvements that increase reporting accuracy, efficiency, and financial controls Collaborate across departments to support informed business decisions and project success Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field Experience in financial analysis, project finance, FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, or related finance functions Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and financial modeling Experience performing variance analysis and developing management reports Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders Preferred Qualifications Experience with Deltek Costpoint Experience with Epicor or other ERP systems Exposure to consolidation and financial reporting tools Experience working in project-based, government contracting, engineering, manufacturing, or similar environments Why Join? 9/80 Work Schedule: Enjoy every other Friday afternoon off, with a half-day schedule on alternating Fridays Collaborative, team-oriented culture where employees support one another Opportunity to work on impactful projects and gain visibility across the organization Career growth within a stable and innovative company Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Yaphank, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
