This team thrives in a fast-paced, service-oriented setting, making it an excellent fit for applicants who enjoy staying busy and supporting smooth pharmacy operations.Role SummaryAs a Pharmacy Technician I, you will support prescription processing, patient assistance, and coordination with pharmacists and clinic teams to ensure safe, efficient medication access. You will play a vital role in helping patients and Penn Medicine employees receive accurate, timely prescriptions while contributing to a high-quality care experience.Key ResponsibilitiesProcess and fill prescriptions under pharmacist direction, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.Collect medication histories and assist in coordinating insurance requirements, patient payments, and benefit investigations.Communicate proactively with clinical teams to resolve coverage issues and support seamless medication access.Collaborate with pharmacists, social workers, and specialty pharmacy staff to ensure complete and accurate documentation for reimbursement.Provide excellent customer service to patients, clinic partners, and Penn Medicine employees.Support all myPennPharmacy services as needed.Uphold Penn Medicine values, policies, and quality standards.Minimum QualificationsHigh School Diploma/GED (Required)Pharmacy Technician Certification - CPhT (Required)Registered Pharmacy Technician (PA State Board of Pharmacy) (Required)Preferred ExperienceExperience working in a fast-paced pharmacy environment (strongly preferred).Prior ambulatory retail or mail-order pharmacy experience a plus.We believe that the best care for our patients starts with the best care for our employees.
