Artificial Intelligence Architect (Senior or Lead) – Enterprise Services, Technology and Systems Data Management Office Elevate Boeing's enterprise through AI—a role that turns data into actionable insights and drives transformational AI solutions. Location Arizona: Mesa California: El Segundo or Seal Beach Missouri: Hazelwood Pennsylvania: Ridley Park South Carolina: North Charleston Virginia: Arlington Washington: Everett or Renton Position Responsibilities Design end-to-end AI solutions, including data ingestion, model training/fine-tuning, deployment, monitoring, lifecycle management, and machine learning architectures. Lead AI initiatives from proof-of-concepts to scalable, enterprise-wide production deployments. Evaluate and recommend AI technologies—Deep Learning, NLP, Computer Vision, Generative AI—based on business use cases, cost, latency, and data privacy. Design AI architectures, LLM/RAG pipelines, and agentic workflow orchestration aligned to business cases. Define AI strategy, roadmaps, and technology standards; assess emerging AI/ML, agentic framework, and automation technologies for adoption. Balance hands‑on model development with cross‑functional coordination, ensuring compliance, monitoring, and integration practices. Key Relationships & Stakeholders Enterprise Services Executive Leadership Team Data Science and IT Service Tower Leadership (Indirect Supply Chain, Real Estate, Facilities & Asset Management, Executive Flight) External relationships with vendors and/or consultants Basic Qualifications (Required) 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering and/or Software Development. 5+ years with AI hardware and software integration. 5+ years of enterprise architecture experience, including cloud, security, data privacy, integration, and deployment. 5+ years developing information architectures and working with databases. 5+ years on cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure. 3+ years with AI/ML technologies, integrating AI insights into data architecture and analytics processes. 3+ years with modern programming/scripting languages (C++, Java, JavaScript, Perl, Python, Visual Basic). 3+ years researching and applying large language and generative AI models. Preferred Qualifications (Desired) 10+ years of related work experience or equivalent education. Bachelor’s or higher in data science, machine learning, applied statistics, mathematics, computer science, or engineering. Strong problem‑solving, attention to detail, interpersonal and communication skills. Continuous improvement mindset; ability to create solutions and deliver value for customers. Experience mentoring/coaching employees. Experience delivering business and data analytics solutions in manufacturing, engineering, energy, oil & gas, or similar operations environments.
