Position: Obstetrician-Gynecologist (OB-GYN) - Hospitalist
Location: Good Samaritan Hospital, San Jose, CA

About the Role:
Obstetrix of California is seeking a skilled and dedicated Board Certified or Board Eligible OB-GYN physician to join our dynamic hospitalist team at the esteemed Good Samaritan Hospital in San Jose, California. This is an excellent opportunity to work within Silicon Valley's premier healthcare setting, providing high-acuity, collaborative, and patient-centered obstetric care.
Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 24-hour in-house obstetric hospitalist coverage within a maternal-fetal medicine-led practice.
• Manage obstetric triage for unassigned patients and respond to private physician requests.
• Conduct inpatient postpartum rounds and participate in shared antepartum rounding with MFM specialists.
• Handle gynecologic emergency evaluations and assist in obstetric procedures, including cesarean sections (average 0-3 cases per month; assist in 1-2 cases).
• Respond to and manage maternal-fetal patient transports (approximately 5-6 per month).
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team supported by:
  • Level III Neonatal ICU (NICU)
  • 24/7 Neonatology coverage
  • 24/7 Pediatric Hospitalist services
  • Dedicated anesthesiology coverage for Labor & Delivery
  • Separate on-call GYN surgical team for gynecologic emergencies
• Perform gynecologic evaluations in the emergency department and provide comprehensive obstetric inpatient care in a high-volume, technologically advanced environment.

Requirements:

• Active or eligible ABMS-certified or eligible OB-GYN physician.
• Residency training within the immediate local area; relocation may be required.
• Commitment to providing excellent patient care in a high-acuity setting.
• No visa candidates or locum replacements accepted.

Compensation & Benefits:
Competitive Salary Options:

• $296,400 annually (0.71 FTE) + bonus incentives
• $328,320 annually (0.78 FTE) + bonus incentives

Additional Pay:

• $190/hour for extra clinical hours
